If you’d like to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a special transfer authorization code, which may be referred to by multiple names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, etc. All these names denote the exact same thing – a code that the domain name owner obtains from the current domain name registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a domain name transfer cannot be started and this is one of the security mechanisms against unsolicited transfer attempts used with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. For better security, the code includes digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domains, you have to present the new domain name registrar with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting
Obtaining the EPP transfer code for any domain name registered through our company under a shared hosting account is surprisingly easy. You won’t need to sign in and out of different admin panels, as you can manage both your domains and your shared hosting account from a single location – our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel. To obtain the transfer code for any domain, you just need to visit the Registered Domains section and to click on the tiny EPP symbol, which will be located to the right of any domain name whose extension supports transfers with a code. Our system will email the code to the registrant’s email address right away. In case you want to change the email, you can do it from the very same section of the hosting Control Panel with only a couple of clicks of the mouse.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can easily get the transfer authorization code for any domain registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you’d like to transfer it away. This can be done through the very same Control Panel, via which you administer your account, so you will not have to log in and out of different user interfaces. All you have to do is visit the Control Panel’s domain management section and click the EPP button for the domain that you wish to transfer, as long as its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system sends all codes automatically to the domain name registrant’s email listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record, so if the email that is currently entered is obsolete, you can modify it with several clicks of the mouse without needing to leave the domain management section of the Control Panel.
